JUST BREATHE Update and Other Shit
There’s a ton of shit flying around in my life right now, but I thought I’d give readers a quick update on the status of the third and final book in the JUST BREATHE trilogy. I thought JUST BREATHE would be ready for publication in August. That’s not happening. It will probably be more like October or maybe even November. My editor can’t touch it until September, which is just as well since I’m very busy helping out my dad, who was diagnosed with cancer a couple weeks ago.
Some of you know that I lost my mom to cancer in 2001, so my dad’s diagnosis has been a real sucker punch. But he’s ready to fight, and so am I. I’m sharing this info because a few readers have expressed disappointment that JUST BREATHE is taking so long to publish. I hope you’ll understand and bear with me. The book is drafted. It has a cover and a blurb. All it needs now is editing and revision. I can’t control how long those two things will take. I promise I’ll get the book out as soon as I can, but my family comes first.
On a happier note, I woke up this morning to LOTS of great news and reviews. Below is a list of everything (that I know of) going on with INHALE and EXHALE.
If you’ve recently posted a review on Goodreads, I haven’t seen it. I gave up Goodreads for Lent. Okay, not for Lent, but I quit checking it for reasons I won’t go into here. But I LOVE good reviews (and could REALLY use some uplifting words right about now), so if you don’t mind posting your review for either book to Amazon (or sending me a link to your blog if you have a review there), I’ll be happy to pimp it.
HUGE thanks to everyone who bought the books and liked my Amazon Author Page. Last week, rankings for EXHALE got all the way into the 600s on Amazon. INHALE reached the 700s. Holy shit, people! AMAZING!

I’m so sorry to hear about your dad! Both of you are in my thoughts. And keep those fighting gloves on to do whatever it takes! *mega hugs*

It’s always rough to have a close family member go through cancer. Hope he beats it hard and fast!
One thing I’ve learned with my first novel is that it’s best not to rush things. It’ll be out when it’s ready, and so will your third. (And I really need to get crackin’ on #2 so the story will be complete.)

I’m sorry about your dad, Kendall — hang in there.
As for your third installment in the series, it will be ready when it’s ready, and we will love it. ;)

You’ve got some major fans who are excited for JUST BREATHE but we totally understand that family is numero uno and you have to take care of that first.

Hey Stranger,
I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. It must be a trying time. I think readers will understand that your next novel won’t be for a while. Family is more important than anything in this word.
I’m also glad to hear your novels are doing well. That’s such a great achievement.
Keep well, and be strong,
Suz :)
